GRV offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees and continually evaluate our Great Affordable benefits to ensure our employees that we remain competitive.  Paid Time Off (PTO): All employees start accruing PTO time at the onset of employment. This benefit may be used at your discretion in several different ways. ESST (Earned Sick & Safe Time): Glenwood Retirement Village provides employes that work at least 80 hours annually for GRV. Eligible employees accrue up to 48 hours in a year, carried over from year to year, until an 80-hour maximum accrual is reached.  The multiplier for ESST is .0333 for every hour worked. Bereavement Leave: Glenwood Retirement Village employees are give up to four days paid per calendar year for the death of a close family, as specified by GRV Employee Handbook. Extended Illness-Short Term Leave: Glenwood Retirement Village provides employees with a maximum of 160 hours of extended illness leave days for maternity leave, personal illness, or injury. Holiday Pay: Holiday pay is provided as a benefit to employees with a full-time status that work 64 hours or more per pay period.  "Holiday Pay" whether or not they worked the holiday. Paid holidays include ; New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day Health Insurance: Effective the first day of the month following 60 days of employment, employees are eligible for Health Insurance if they average 32 hours per week through Health Partners. This benefit offers highly affordable premiums, and employees can choose from various coverage options, including plans covering the employee alone (fully paid by the employer), the employee plus one other person, and the employee plus family members. Dental Insurance: Effective the first day of the month following 60 days of employment, employees are eligible for Dental Insurance through Mutual of Omaha if they average 32 hours per week. Coverage options include plans for the employee only, employee plus spouse, and employee plus family members. Vision Insurance: Effective the first day of the month following 60 days of employment, employees are eligible for Dental Insurance through Avesis if they average 32 hours per week. Coverage options include plans for the employee only, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and employee plus family members. Voluntary Supplemental Benefits: Effective the first day of the month following 90 days of employment, employees are eligible for Voluntary Supplemental Benefits through AFLAC - coverage in the areas of dental, accident/disability, cancer, intensive care, and vision.  Premiums are 100% employee paid and can be processed as a payroll deduction. Life Insurance: Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment is through Mutual of Omaha and those who average 32 hours of work per week will be eligible for a Life Insurance policy and is paid by Glenwood Retirement Village. Retirement Plan: Glenwood Retirement Village has established a 403(b) & Roth plan through One America to assist employees in preparing for their financial security at retirement.  Employees are eligible to enroll in the program upon hire.  After one year of employment, having worked a minimum of 1,000 hours and attained age 21, GRV will match the employee contributions up to 4% of the gross wage.  Employees may also add additional funds into the account within the IRS guidelines.  There are no minimum hours required per pay period to enroll in the plan.   Years of service Health Savings Account: Glenwood Retirement Village offers an HSA plan in partnership with Glenwood State Bank. This plan allows you to contribute up to $4,150 annually for single coverage or $8,300 for family coverage on a pre-tax basis. Individuals aged 55 and above can make an additional catch-up contribution of $1,000 per year. The funds can be used to reimburse eligible medical expenses.

Scholarships: Scholarships are awarded by Glenwood Retirement Village to help recruit and retain employees and to expand our workforce. Glenwood Retirement Village strives to assist eligible employees to achieve their educational goals related to the healthcare field. GRV offers a $1,000 referral bonus to the employee who refers a newly hired employee. Employee Meal Program: Employees are offered delicious meals at a very low affordable price, payroll deducted. Lunch = $5 and Supper = $4

Scholarship Program & Earn Academic Credit While Working

High school students in grades 11 and 12 can earn elective credits by working for GRV! Effective Sept. 1, 2023, students may earn one (1) elective credit for every 350 hours worked, including hours worked during the summer. Students may earn up to two (2) elective credits each year under this program.​
